Black Sox begin preparation for 2010 Season
Entering the 2010 season, the Black Sox will look to build on a season that saw them come up
one game shy of making the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Despite missing the playoffs by one game, the Sox overcame
some roster set backs to still improve their win total by two over the year before. While the Sox did post some impressive wins
over several playoff teams, they often showed the inconsistencies of a young team.
While Sox roster will be returning the core of its roster from the 2009 seaon. Several key new additions to the pitching staff
will provide depth that was lacking in 2009. The Sox roster will also be bolstered by several new position players that will
have a positive impact on an already solid Sox lineup.
With the new additions to the roster and the continued maturity of its core roster, the Sox will be looking to improve on their 2009 campaign
to make a deep run into the 2010 playoffs.
