Black Sox battery face off against Red Sox in Fort Myers
This year's Red Sox/Northeastern game played on February 27 in Fort Myers
would proved to be a big day not only for the Black Sox but also the Yawkey League.
Senior pitcher J.T. Ross, a member of the Black Sox since 2006, got the start on the mound for Northeastern.
Ross would throw two scorless innings in the game allowing one hit and one walk.
Junior Tucker Roeder, a member of the 2010 Black Sox, started behind the plate.
Roeder would go 0-1 and was hit by a pitch.
Also playing in the game was one current and one former Yawkey League players.
Sophomore Riky Salvucci, a memeber of the Al Thomas A's, went 1-2
while playing third base for the Huskies.
Yawkey League Hall of Famer and former Al Thomas A's pitcher Rich Hill
was credited with the win for the Red Sox.
