Ross Earns Conference and Nation Pitcher of Week Honors.
Black Sox pitcher JT Ross, a sophomore pitcher at Northeastern University, received
pitcher of the week honors from both the CAA Conference and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Ross earned the honors for his phenomenal pitching performance against the URI Rams on Monday April 20.
Ross threw a complete game one hitter in which he struck out twelve without issue a walk.
The long hit would come in the second inning. He would then go on to retire the last 23 hitters in order.
The Huskies would win the game 12-1. Ross moved to 3-1 with the victory.
J.T. Ross a three year veteran of the Black Sox lead the YBL with 88 strike outs in 2008. Ross led the Black Sox staff with
a 7-3 record making 10 starts and 2 relief appearances.
