Black Sox begin preparation for 2009 Season
Entering the 2009 season, the Black Sox will look to build on a strong second half that saw
them post a 10-6 record. The strong finish was due mostly to the resurgance of key veterans,
as well the coming of age of some young starters, all of whom are back for the 2009 season.
The Sox roster will be returing the core of its roster from the 2008 seaon. A roster that
was one of the youngest Sox rosters in several years, at times starting two eighteen year olds,
and four twenty year olds. The Sox will look on the continued improvement of its young starters,
as well as the steady play of its verterans to return to the playoffs for the first time
since the 2006 season.
